Manchester United are headed into a period of rebuild and a new era under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team.

As is custom with a change in ownership, massive changes are expected in terms of personnel with numerous departures and arrivals expected.

A report from football365 citing Spanish publication Fichajes now claims that Man United’s first list of top targets has been revealed and it includes 3 world class players.

Manchester United have grossly underperformed this season and ten Hag could do well with a whole host of world class players at the expense of lots of departures.

It has been rumoured that United are willing to listen to offers for anyone but a very few select group of players who are deemed untouchable including youngsters Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.

Ratcliffe did promise his intention is taking Man United back to the top which means competing for every trophy and the first step is building a competitive squad.

The first of these 3 players is Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez who’s been having an absolute stormer of a season.

The Argentine is currently on 23 goals in 31 Serie A appearances, a very impressive return by all standards.

Going into the new season, young Hojlund will be the only recognized centre forward as Anthony Martial will be leaving at the end of his current contract in June.

Erik ten Hag could desperately do with another striker, particularly of Martinez’s quality and experience.

Everton’s midfield general Amadou Onana is the second name on the list.

With the exception of Casemiro, Manchester United’s midfield is very lacking physically and they could do well with the sheer physical dominance and ball winning the Belgian brings to the table.

The final name on the list is Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo. United’s defensive struggles have been there for all to see and the impact a defender like Araujo could have on that backline cannot be overstated.

All in all, it is expected to be a very busy summer at Old Trafford as the squad and club takes shape in this new Ratcliffe era.
