The season has only just begun and Manchester United finds itself amidst one of the worst crises in 36 years.
The struggles have been attributed to both on and off-field issues, particularly within the midfield, hence why Erik Ten Hag is exploring options to address midfield issues.
Reports from The Sun suggest that Manchester United is keen on bolstering its midfield by signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot during the January transfer window.
United’s interest in Rabiot is not new, with the club having been linked to the French midfielder during the summer transfer window. However, a deal did not materialize at that time, and their renewed interest indicates a deal could take place this time around.
The French midfielder joined Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 and has gone on to make 182 appearances for the Italian side, winning the Serie A title in his first season.
It’s worth noting that negotiations may be complicated by Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri’s desire to extend Rabiot’s contract.
