Manchester United secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Burnley at Turf Moor, displaying true resilience.

Still, issues in the midfield and scoring department are very much present.

The club’s struggle to find the back of the net persists, with them having the lowest goal tally among the top nine Premier League teams, a problem they have carried over from the previous season.

Manager Erik ten Hag is actively seeking solutions to bolster United’s offensive capabilities. He’s looking to establish a promising partnership between Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford to enhance the team’s scoring potential. However, the team’s attempts to secure a powerhouse striker were thwarted by financial constraints, resulting in no new striker acquisitions.

In the quest for attacking reinforcements, United scouts were spotted in attendance at Porto’s match, where they witnessed Porto secure a 2-1 victory over Gil Vicente.

As reported by Sport Witness, they were closely monitoring striker Mehdi Taremi, who had previously been linked with a potential move to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.

With Taremi’s contract set to expire next summer, United might consider making a move for him in the upcoming January transfer window.

Interestingly, Manchester United is not the only club actively scouting potential talent. Other clubs such as West Ham United, Leicester City, Stoke City, Sevilla, and Juventus also had their scouts present during the same game.
