Manchester United’s interest in goalkeeper Andre Onana could lead to his departure from Inter Milan this summer.
As per Tuttosport via Mirror, a proposal from the Red Devils is anticipated to arrive at Inter’s table early in the upcoming week. While the specific amount of United’s initial offer remains undisclosed, Inter reportedly has a valuation in mind for the Cameroonian shot-stopper.
Inter Milan’s asking price for Onana is pegged at €60 million (£51.5 million), according to a report from Corriere dello Sport relayed by FCInterNews. Although they are open to discussions, the Italian powerhouse is unlikely to consider a deal below €50 million (£42.9 million).
Onana, 27, joined Inter from Ajax just last summer when his contract with the Dutch side ran out. Throughout his maiden season with Inter, he played 41 matches across all competitions, maintaining 19 clean sheets and helping his team reach the Champions League finale against Manchester City.
If Manchester United cannot persuade Inter to part ways with Onana, they have other goalkeeping options lined up.
In the wake of De Gea’s potential departure, United’s homegrown player, Dean Henderson, could also be on the move. Following his successful loan spell last season, Nottingham Forest is reportedly keen on securing his services.
