Fiorentina have given Sofyan Amrabat a time limit to make up his mind about leaving the club, with big names like Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool paying close attention.
According to Corriere dello Sport via Football Italia, the club has allotted the midfielder 48 to 72 hours, essentially until the end of the business day on Friday, to finalize his decision.
The club aims to steer clear of a last-minute scramble to find a replacement during the final moments of the transfer window. Amrabat’s expected price tag is around €30 million.
Although there’s been substantial interest in him from various European clubs, no deals have been closed as these clubs have other priorities at the moment.
The 27-year-old player has been rumored to reunite with his former coach, Erik ten Hag, at Manchester United.
However, that deal is on hold as United are looking to first sell or loan midfielder Donny van de Beek. Liverpool’s interest in Amrabat has cooled off after their acquisition of Wataru Endo, and Atletico Madrid’s plan to replace Rodrigo De Paul with him has reportedly fallen through.
This narrows down the field to Manchester United as the main suitor for the Moroccan international. With a decision deadline now in place, it might push Manchester United’s management to make a quick move or risk missing out on a valuable midfield addition.
