This summer, Manchester United appear to be clearing out much of the deadwood in their senior squad.

Already, Alex Telles and Anthony Elanga have been sold to Al Nassr and Nottingham Forest respectively, with both of them bringing in a solid transfer fee for the club.

The Red Devils are not done there though.

Two Saudi clubs have reportedly made offers for Eric Bailly recently, while Fred is expected to leave this summer and Real Sociedad are pushing for Donny van de Beek.

Another midfielder, Scott McTominay, is also rumoured to hold interest from West Ham United with fellow Scotsman David Moyes keen to sign him, but United would require a large bid to consider selling the 26-year-old.

Dean Henderson could also be on his way out of Old Trafford in the next month.

That is not all, though, as former club captain Harry Maguire could now join Everton.

Everton discussing move for Harry Maguire

The latest on this transfer saga

According to Football Insider, Everton are discussing a potential loan for Harry Maguire.

The Englishman is said to be open to the move which would see him play his football for the Toffees in the 2023/24 season. No option or obligation to buy is mentioned in the report, leading to the assumption that it would be a straight loan.

This comes after West Ham had a bid rejected for him earlier in the window. Football Insider claim that London giants Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are both also interested in the centre-back, although with Spurs now on the verge of signing Micky van de Ven and Chelsea having recently confirmed the acquisition of Axel Disasi, their focus may be elsewhere for the remainder of the summer.

A move to Everton would be a good opportunity for Maguire to demonstrate his abilities in a team where the pressure is lower, potentially increasing his transfer value for next summer when United may look to sell him.
