Barcelona is reportedly casting their scouting nets over Manchester United players, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial, eyeing potential acquisitions for 2024, according to reports by Mundo Deportivo.
Sancho is experiencing a career-low period at Manchester United, finding himself isolated from the first-team activities by manager Erik ten Hag, following some disciplinary discrepancies.
The 23-year-old, whose acquisition cost the club a whopping €73 million, has been absent from the field in the Red Devils’ jersey for more than a month, sparking speculations about a probable exit as soon as the upcoming January.
Barcelona, along with AS Roma, are reportedly keenly observing Sancho’s circumstances at United and might ponder a loan move in the winter transfer window.
Anthony Martial too is experiencing a less-than-ideal stint. Martial, whose potential at the club hasn’t unfolded as anticipated, doesn’t make the cut as a regular starter at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old’s contract is ticking away, set to conclude at this season’s end, making him a free acquisition in the summer, although there’s a provision for United to extend it for an additional year.
