Manchester United completed a much needed comeback to beat Nottingham Forest by 3 goals to 2 today, so let’s take a look at how each player performed.

Andre Onana – 5/10

With United dominating possession from the get go, Onana didn’t have a lot to do. He wasn’t at fault for any of Forest’s goals either so he gets a middle of the road rating.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 6/10

It was a standard Wan-Bissaka performance as he made some good tackles defensively and a few good runs down the right, but his passing was as conservative as ever. His final third effectiveness was lackluster too.

Raphael Varane – 5/10

Varane was taken off at half-time, therefore affecting his score. Like Onana, he wasn’t really at fault for either goal and fans will be hopeful that his early withdrawal wasn’t injury related.

Victor Lindelof – 5/10

As ever, Lindelof was a reliable deputy, coming off the bench at half-time for Raphael Varane. He didn’t have too much to do at the back due to United chasing the game for most of the second half. Overall, it was a solid performance from the Swede.

Lisandro Martinez – 7/10

The 2022 World Cup winner had his best game of the season so far. His sharp passing was of good use to United as soon as Forest took the early lead. His channel defending was important too, stopping many of the opposition’s transition opportunities.

Diogo Dalot – 6.5/10

With Luke Shaw’s surprise injury this week, Diogo Dalot had to cover at left-back for United. And he did it reasonably well, often inverting into midfield to help United overwhelm Forest’s low block. His passing was at a good standard, and while he struggled defensively to begin with, he came into his own in the second half.
