This summer will see the departure of one of United’s highest rated prospects with his contract coming to an end at the end of the season.

Having joined from Manchester City in 2020 for £750,000, the United striker will be leaving the club for good this summer after two loan moves since his arrival at the club.

ManchesterWorld report that Charlie McNeill has gathered interest from some Premier League sides, as well as clubs from Portugal and Germany, although a move to the Championship may be most likely.

McNeill joined Newport County in the 2022/23 season, appearing in all 20 league games since joining the Welsh club, scoring twice for the club.

Following his return from Newport, McNeill joined Stevenage which unfortunately was less successful due to an injury limiting his appearances to three games.

Despite his loan spells, there’s a lot to be excited about with McNeill having scored 34 goals in 35 games for the Red Devil’s Under-18s team. This shows the potential the player has, indicating much room for further growth.
