Manchester United’s head coach Erik ten Hag is finding himself in hot water after a disheartening defeat to Manchester City, leaving many to speculate about his potential replacement.

In a recent match that saw United’s performance fall flat, they were decisively beaten 3-0 by their city rivals, with Erling Haaland scoring twice and Phil Foden adding another for Manchester City. This outcome has subsequently placed immense pressure on Ten Hag to turn things around at Old Trafford.

As it stands, the betting world is buzzing with speculation on who might be next in line for the United job, if Ten Hag’s situation doesn’t improve.

Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is leading the pack according to Odds Checker, with odds placed at 4/1 at the time of this writing. Zidane has an impressive track record, boasting three consecutive Champions League victories during his tenure with Madrid.

Following closely behind in the odds is Julian Nagelsmann, the ex-Bayern Munich head coach who currently manages the German national team, sitting at 5/1.

The third on the list is Graham Potter, previously of Chelsea and Brighton, with his odds placed at 10/1.

There are other noteworthy names in the mix as well, including Antonio Conte and Gareth Southgate both at 16/1, Diego Simeone at 20/1, and Mauricio Pochettino also at 20/1.

In the aftermath of the Manchester City defeat, United’s standing in the Premier League has taken a hit. They now find themselves in eighth place, trailing Liverpool by eight points for a top-four position and 11 points behind the current leaders, Tottenham Hotspur.
