Manchester United outcast Mason Greenwood has been having a fine resurgence to his career in Spain on loan at Getafe.

His fine performances have now earned him a nomination to the La Liga Team of the Season in EA Sports FC 24.

He joins a prestigious list of 19 attackers that include superstars like Jude Bellingham and fellow Real Madrid star Rodrygo.

Greenwood was exiled from Manchester United last year following a failed attempt to integrate him back into the squad after the charges against him were dropped.

He was loaned out to Getafe and he has been doing exceptionally well especially considering he hadn’t played any professional football prior for close to 2 years.

He is currently on 8 goals and 6 assists in 29 La Liga appearances.

A goal return almost every other game in the Spanish top flight is a very decent return and its fair to say he has his mojo back.

His return to form and this recent team of the season nomination adds more speculations to his future.

His loan spell comes to an end this May and Getafe have not yet committed to signing him permanently. It may also be worth noting Getafe may not have the budget to sign him which makes his future a throw of the dice.

It is very unlikely Man United will take him back on account of the massive public backlash from when they attempted to reintegrate him into the squad last year and INEOS have a major decision on their hands.

It is rumoured Italian giants Juventus are favorites to sign the Englishman as goal.com recently cited.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the summer as there is no denying the young man’s sheer talent and quality despite his legal troubles.
