Manchester United is gearing up for a crucial Premier League showdown against Arsenal in North London as the international break looms.
Erik ten Hag’s squad has been showing mixed form with two wins and a loss in their first three games, and they’ll be up against an Arsenal side that hasn’t quite hit the heights it did last season under Mikel Arteta.
In preparation for this clash, United’s manager confirmed that Rasmus Hojlund is back in action and was seen traveling with the team to London.
In addition to Hojlund, loan signing Sergio Reguilon has also made the traveling squad.
The year-long loanee was added on deadline day to provide cover for the injured Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
Altay Bayindir, another deadline day acquisition, has also been included in the list of players for the matchday.
He’ll serve as backup goalkeeper, filling the void left by Dean Henderson who transferred to Crystal Palace.
Veteran defender Jonny Evans, who recently inked a one-year contract after his pre-season stint, will also be available for selection, stepping in for the injured Raphael Varane.
However, Victor Lindelof is expected to be the starting choice.
Interestingly, recent signing Sofyan Amrabat won’t take part in the Arsenal matchup.
Furthermore, the whereabouts of Scott McTominay and Jadon Sancho remain unconfirmed, as they were not seen with the team.
The full roster for Manchester United against Arsenal includes:
Bayindir, Onana, Vitek;
Dalot, Evans, Lindelof, Maguire, Martinez, Reguilon, Wan-Bissaka;
Casemiro, Eriksen, Hannibal, Fernandes, Gore;
Antony, Hojlund, Garnacho, Martial, Rashford, Pellistri.
