Manchester United confirm squad for pre-season fixture against Wrexham

Manchester United is set to face Wrexham, fielding a young squad drawn from the main traveling team, supplemented by additional academy stars.

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are all set to face off against Wrexham at the Snapdragon Stadium on July 26. The early morning match is set to feature a blend of first-team youth and academy talent.

In a unique opportunity, a selection of academy starlets who did not secure a place in the primary first-team squad will gain match experience in this USA-based friendly. Reports confirm these individuals embarked on a standalone trip to San Diego last week for training preparations.

In total, Manchester United has announced a team of 15 players specifically destined for San Diego to face the League Two team, Wrexham. Moreover, a handful of unnamed youthful talents are predicted to make a brief departure from the first-team setup to showcase their abilities in this fixture. Players such as Alvaro Fernandez and Dan Gore might be among these participants.

Officially enlisted squad members for the friendly against Wrexham include:

Goalkeepers: Elyh Harrison and Dermot Mee.

Defenders: Marc Jurado, Will Fish, Jonny Evans, Sonny Aljofree, Willy Kambwala, and Logan Pye.

Midfielders: Isak Hansen-Aarøen, Toby Collyer, and Maxi Oyedele.

Forwards: Shola Shoretire, Joe Hugill, Charlie McNeill, and Mateo Mejia.
