Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho recently found himself in hot water after first posting and then deleting a tweet that undermined the United manager, Erik ten Hag.
The club has now confirmed that, as a disciplinary measure, Jadon Sancho will undergo a personal training program away from the first-team group.
‘Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training programme away from the first-team group, pending resolution of a squad discipline issue,’ a statement read.
This follows reports that discussions took place between Sancho and ten Hag on Monday, coinciding with the squad’s return to training.
It is believed that ten Hag became aware of Sancho’s comments while the team was traveling back to the north-west from London following their match against Arsenal.
Interestingly, before the transfer window closed in Saudi Arabia, there were reports that Manchester United were open to selling Sancho. However, it’s worth noting that the player himself was not considering a move to the Middle East, as he was located in New York during this time.
