Manchester United’s shot-stopper, Andre Onana, is set to represent Cameroon during the forthcoming international break, despite experiencing a challenging start at Old Trafford.

The goalkeeper, currently facing scrutiny due to his inconsistent performances for the Red Devils, has been given a morale boost with a call-up to the national side.

Cameroon recently revealed their squad for the friendlies against Russia and Senegal, and Onana has found his name on the list.

These matches are set to be hosted in Moscow and Lens, scheduled for October 12 and October 16 respectively.

These international commitments come sandwiched between Manchester United’s league face-off against Brentford and their away game to Sheffield United on October 21.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s gaffer, Erik ten Hag, remains confident in Onana’s abilities.

In a recent interaction with the club’s media outlets, Ten Hag affirmed, “I have to talk with more players, but I also have to talk with Andre of course. I will do and I will back him, because he’s a great goalkeeper.” The manager’s unwavering support certainly suggests that Onana’s journey at Old Trafford is far from over.
