The Clarets are gearing up to host Man United at Turf Moor in a Saturday night clash.
With United returning to Premier League action following a disappointing Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich earlier in the week, Burnley could look to capitalize on the Red Devils’ recent setback.
Man United’s boss, Erik ten Hag, provided an update on the team’s player availability with the likes of Varane, Mount, Amrabat, and Maguire making a potential return.
On the other side of the pitch, Burnley will be without their top goalscorer, Lyle Foster, who is serving a three-match suspension due to a red card received in a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.
Additionally, Burnley will have to make do without the services of Darko Churlinov, Hjalmar Ekdal, and Michael Obafemi, all of whom are confirmed to be unavailable. This could potentially lead to Jay Rodriguez stepping up to lead the line against Manchester United, a team he has found success against in the past, having scored against them four times in previous encounters.
Burnley manager, Vincent Kompany, has not reported any other fitness issues in his squad as they prepare to face Manchester United which means Vitinho might have recovered from his knee problem in time to take part in the match.
