Every year, a football club has to confirm a 25 man squad list for players that they want to register for the upcoming season.
If a player misses out on that list, it means that they cannot play for the club in that campaign and must sit on the sidelines.
With a number of players coming in and out of the club, United’s list looks quite a bit different to the last campaign.
At the beginning of Erik ten Hag’s first season, the United squad had existing names such as the likes of David De Gea, Cristiano Ronaldo, Fred and Phil Jones, while adding the likes of Casemiro and Antony to the list.
Thanks to a summer spree, the likes of Andre Onana, Mason Mount, Sofyan Amrabat and Rasmus Hojlund have been added to the squad and have needed to be submitted to the English Premier League as part of the final squad now that the transfer window has closed.
Manchester United Football Club have just announced who has made their squad for this season.
Donny van de Beek
For those wondering where the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund are, they are all players under the age of 21 so therefore do not need to be registered for the upcoming campaign, as the English Premier League only require registration for players over that age.
