Sir Jim Ratcliffe has clearly stated his vision for the club, especially with regard to spending a fortune to sign already established players.  He clearly stated he would rather sign the next Mbappé over spending a fortune buying a ready-made Mbappé or buying success as he called it.

Under the Glazers, United have time and time again been guilty of grossly overpaying for players who end up proper flopping, and it is something Ratcliffe seeks to change.

The EFL is a major hub for undiscovered talent, and it has graced the Premier League with some classy players over the years including players like Bellingham, Jarrod Bowen, Ollie Watkins, Jamie Vardy, Harry Maguire, Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze, and Jack Grealish.

The rumours in this regard have already started circulating, with United being linked with budding EFL talents like young striker Baylee Dipepa.

He made his senior breakthrough earlier this season, only turning 17 in January, and has slowly risen to become a regular in Darren Moore’s squad despite their struggles in League One.

A 17-year-old boy who only recently made his debut, getting that much trust from his manager says a lot about the young lad.

Archie Gray’s is another who will definitely be catching the eye of top teams. His price will certainly skyrocket if Leeds attain promotion to the Premier League. He is relatively still an academy prospect, but already seems like the real deal, especially on account of his versatility.

He can be deployed both at right back and midfield – both positions that United may require some reinforcements.

Jobe Bellingham is another one who may be one for the future. He as well is a brilliant, combative midfielder like his older brother Jude, who’s already a mega superstar at only 20.

United should seriously consider scouting some of these players as well other budding talents in the EFL who may be fantastic investments.
