The Premier League’s spotlight will be on Emirates Stadium tomorrow afternoon as Arsenal hosts Manchester United in what promises to be the match of the week.

Both clubs have experienced a shaky start to the 2023/24 season; United pulled off a narrow win against Wolves and a late victory over Nottingham Forest after a shaky performance against Tottenham.

Erik ten Hag’s men, however, are entering the match with newfound optimism following a busy deadline day. The club saw its total number of summer acquisitions rise to four on Friday.

The Red Devils finalised a deal with Fenerbahce, securing goalkeeper Altay Bayindir for £4.3 million. In addition, the team welcomed Jonny Evans back, who inked a one-year contract.

Later in the day, the club also announced the signing of Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon for the season, as well as the arrival of Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina on a season-long loan valued at €10 million.

An option exists for United to seal a permanent deal for Amrabat next summer for an estimated €20 million plus an extra €5 million.

While not all of United’s recent signings are eligible to face Arsenal due to Premier League registration rules, Reguilon is set to make his debut for the club.

In his pre-match press briefing, Ten Hag stated, “He (Reguilon) is here, he trained,” adding that the defender is “so happy” to be included in the squad.

New £72 million acquisition Rasmus Hojlund is also a possibility for the starting lineup, according to Ten Hag.

Despite struggling with a back injury, the striker is said to have had a good training week. “So he will be available for Sunday’s game. I think for every player there’s a big spotlight.

At United, you have to perform. Every position and every player,” Ten Hag mentioned.

The potential lineup for Manchester United against Arsenal could include: Andre Onana; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez, Sergio Reguilon; Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes; Marcus Rashford, Antony, Rasmus Hojlund.
