Monday night’s game saw Manchester United snag three points, yet the display left much to be desired. Despite the win, Erik ten Hag likely left the pitch with worries, especially seeing how Wolves capitalized on the vulnerabilities in United’s formation and midfield. However, they missed their mark when it came to finishing.

This leaves room for speculation: Will Ten Hag shuffle the pack for the upcoming face-off against Tottenham on Saturday? Here’s what the lineup might look like:

In the Goal: Andre Onana – His Premier League debut was a mix of brilliance and luck, as he narrowly escaped conceding a penalty. Tottenham’s attackers might keep him on his toes this Saturday.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka – He’s found his form and now leads the pecking order over Diogo Dalot.

RCB: Raphael Varane – The savior against Wolves with the decisive goal, his inclusion seems undeniable.

LCB: Lisandro Martinez – Despite an early exit due to an ankle concern during the Wolves match, Martinez is expected to be back against Tottenham.

LB: Luke Shaw – Shaw’s versatile role was put to test against Wolves. Come Saturday, he might stick to a conventional full-back position, potentially utilizing the space Tottenham leaves open.

CM: Casemiro – Faced challenges in the opening match as Wolves found ways to move past him. The showdown with James Maddison will demand his best.

CM: Scott McTominay – After Shaw’s strategy failed to curtail Wolves’ counters, Ten Hag might think defensively and deploy McTominay next to Casemiro. His athleticism can be an asset to fend off counterattacks.

RM: Antony – While Jadon Sancho is itching to play, Antony fits Ten Hag’s plan better on the right, gearing up to take on Destiny Udogie.

CAM: Bruno Fernandes – The captain might not have had his best game recently, but his track record against Spurs speaks for itself.

LM: Marcus Rashford – His stint as the main man didn’t pan out well against Wolves. So, Rashford might revert to the left side, especially with Alejandro Garnacho’s lackluster performance possibly sidelining him.

ST: Anthony Martial – Ten Hag’s preferred choice when available, Martial excels with his playmaking abilities. As the central figure in attack, he remains pivotal.

All eyes will be on Old Trafford this Saturday as United aim to bolster their campaign.
